Food Waste Composting

The Save More Than Food program was created by SWACO and the Central Ohio Food Waste Initiative.

  • It is an awareness campaign dedicated to sharing the impact food waste has on the health of our community, economy and environment.
  • For more information about composting foods, visit the Save More Than Food website.

The City started a food-waste collection program for residential composting of kitchen food scraps by partnering with GoZero.

  • The GoZERO lime-green containers are located behind the former Brook park Middle School, 2803 Southwest Blvd. for drop off.

Participants can help make Grove City's composting program successful by discarding only approved compostable materials from personal containers or using liners certified by Biodegradable Products Institute.
